Malini Nayar
Senior Vice President Chief Risk Officer at Community Preservation Corporation (CPC)
Malini Nayar is CPC’s Chief Risk Officer (CRO). She is responsible for risk management of CPC’s balance sheet investments which entails review, approval and asset management of all loans and equity investments. In her capacity as CRO, she also partners with other members of the leadership and management team to manage and mitigate enterprise risk across CPC’s businesses and platforms.
Prior to joining CPC, Malini served as the Chief Credit Officer at Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), overseeing credit, and asset management of LISC’s on-balance sheet loan portfolio, as well as standing up public-private capital vehicles to finance community development projects nationally. Malini has over two decades of experience in the Community Development Financial Institution industry, having held positions at Enterprise Community Loan Fund, Inc., Nonprofit Finance Fund and TruFund where she was responsible for lending to affordable housing projects, charter schools, community health centers and small businesses. Malini has a master’s degree in public policy and management from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Bangalore University in India.
